Jazzcats Win State Championship

Bishop Louis Reicher Catholic School is pleased to announce that its dance team - the Royal Jazzcats - placed FIRST IN STATE in Division IV in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Dance Competition held in Temple, Texas, on January 19. The TAPPS provides wholesome competition for young men and women.

The TAPPS Dance Competition is a yearly competition. Adding to the State Championship, Junior Brinley Darling made the "leaps Team," meaning she was in the Top 10 of individuals competing in the Leaps competition. Officers of the Jazzcats Senior Elise Fuselier, Junior Brinley Darling, and Sophomore Paige Badinger received a Superior rating for their officer trio. Five of the team members were selected for All-State Dance Teams: 1st Team All-State - Senior Elise Fuselier and Junior Brinley Darling. 2nd Team All-State Senior Amya Henley and Sophomore Paige Badinger. Honorable Mention All-State Senior Emily Sanker.
