Bishop Reicher is a school that upholds its religious faith as the foundation of its mission and values. Our unwavering commitment to our Catholic identity is evident in our efforts to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ in all aspects of student life. Our school sets itself apart by cultivating students with strong character and integrity who embody their faith.
Weekly Mass
The cornerstone of our school life is our weekly Mass, overseen by our pastor and student participation. This gathering is the focal point where our community unites to commemorate the Eucharist. We engage in meaningful communion with Jesus within the Mass, participating in His profound sacrifice. Receiving the Eucharist symbolizes our unity with God; through this act, Jesus creates a unique dwelling in our hearts. This experience fortifies and readies us to face life's challenges and rejoice in our victories. At the altar, we encounter a merciful God who walks alongside us, listens to us, and shows us immeasurable love.
Daily Assembly
Our school holds daily assemblies for students and staff on both campuses. These assemblies are centered around a program crafted by the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist, which focuses on the seven theological and cardinal virtues. They provide an opportunity for students to strengthen their connection with Jesus, foster unity with fellow students, and start their day with a positive mindset.
Sacramental Preparation
In their second-grade religion classes, students who have received the sacrament of baptism in the Catholic faith have the opportunity to ready themselves for both their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Furthermore, in high school, students can opt to undergo preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.
Retreats
Annually, students ranging from 6th grade to 12th grade embark on a retreat experience. Featuring engaging talks, enjoyable activities, intimate small group sessions, and moments of prayer, these retreats offer a respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life, allowing students to rekindle their connection with the God who loves them deeply. During these retreats, a sense of community flourishes among the students, and, most significantly, each student has a personal encounter with Jesus, providing them with the opportunity to strengthen and deepen their relationship with Him.
