Bishop Reicher is a school that upholds its religious faith as the foundation of its mission and values. Our unwavering commitment to our Catholic identity is evident in our efforts to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ in all aspects of student life. Our school sets itself apart by cultivating students with strong character and integrity who embody their faith.
Weekly Mass
Our weekly Mass, led by our pastor and hosted by a specific grade level, is the foundation of our life together. This is when we come together as a community to celebrate the Eucharist. During Mass, we get to spend quality time with Jesus and partake in His ultimate sacrifice. By receiving the Eucharist, we become one with God, and Jesus establishes a special place in our hearts. This strengthens and prepares us to confront challenges and celebrate our triumphs. The altar is where we learn about a compassionate God who accompanies us, hears us, and loves us beyond measure.
Daily Assembly
Our school holds daily assemblies for students and staff on both campuses. These assemblies are centered around a program developed by the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist, which focuses on the seven theological and cardinal virtues. They provide an opportunity for students to strengthen their connection with Jesus, foster unity with fellow students, and start their day with a positive mindset.
Sacramental Preparation
As part of their second-grade religion classes, students who have been baptized in the Catholic faith can prepare for their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Additionally, during high school, students may choose to prepare themselves for their Confirmation.
Retreats
Every year, 6th-grade through 12th-grade students get to go on a retreat. Through dynamic talks, fun activities, small groups, and prayer, retreats are a time when the students can step away from the busyness of daily life and reconnect with the God who so dearly loves them. On retreats, the students build community with one another, and most importantly, the students personally encounter Jesus and have the opportunity to deepen their relationship with Him.
