Over the past few years, many of our students in Sister Maximilian Marie's Theology classes have expressed a heartfelt desire to visit the sacred sites in Italy where documented Eucharistic miracles have occurred and to experience the shrines and relics of beloved Catholic saints. Filled with wonder and a deep yearning to grow in faith, these students dreamed of witnessing the rich tapestry of our Catholic heritage firsthand.
Thanks to the generosity of a prestigious grant from the Kennedy Foundation, this dream became a reality. On January 7, our Juniors, Seniors, and a select group of Sophomores, along with their chaperones, embarked on a transformative Eucharistic Miracles and Saints Pilgrimage to Italy. This 10-day spiritual journey invites our students to deepen their understanding of the Eucharist and the lives of the saints, igniting their faith and inspiring them to live as joyful witnesses to Christ.
"To go on pilgrimage is not simply to visit a place to admire its treasures of nature, art or history. To go on pilgrimage really means to step out of ourselves in order to encounter God where he has revealed himself, where his grace has shone with particular splendor and produced rich fruits of conversion and holiness among those who believe." Pope Benedict XVI
